Telegraphic Transfer  *

This is a fast, accurate and safe way of sending money overseas by telex or cable to your named beneficiary. You can also include a short message in your telex. A key benefit to customers is the world-wide network of branches in over 80 countries operated by the HSBC Group. This allows customers the comfort of dealing with only one bank when completing money transfer transactions.

In case you are receiving a transfer into your HSBC account, the following should be communicate to the other party:

Bankers Cheques

A Bankers’ Cheque is a bank cheque payable to a specific payee and drawn on an overseas branch, bank or Lebanon’s Central Bank for any amount in selected currencies. Demand drafts can be purchased in almost any currency and can be encashed in almost any country in the world.

Cashier's Order

This bank cheque eliminates the need to carry large sums of cash to make payments within Lebanon.


Travellers' Cheques

Travellers' Cheques are available in USD, GBP and Euro from our five branches in Lebanon and they can eliminate the need to carry cash while travelling abroad. You also enjoy the comfort of knowing that they will be immediately replaced if lost or stolen.

Accepted by banks, shops and hotels they give you the convenience of world-wide spending power, wherever you are.

Money Exchange

You can buy or sell selected foreign currencies at all our branches. Buying and selling rates can be faxed to you if requested via Phone Banking and Personal Internet Banking services.
